In the upper part the enthroned Buddha with Vitarka Mudra - the gesture of teaching surrounded by 3 gods, including Indra, and 5 praying monks. In the lower part, many monks and political personalities bid farewell - sometimes tearfully - to the deceased Buddha. Similar to the Tibetan thangka. - Creased and in places heavily rubbed, some stains, the text at the bottom no longer legible in places, some tears. Some tears. R
