Gouache on canvas. 20th century. 181 x 90 cm. Central scene next to the Chulamani Chedi with the monk Phra Malai, the god Indra and his wife. Lined at the top with 5 meditators each holding hands in dhyana mudra, below 2 scenes in which the Buddha is making the same gesture under the bhodi tree. The faithful are seated around him, praying reverently in Namaste mudra. Similar to the Tibetan thangka. - Some creasing and loss of fabric. Loss of fabric. R
