Tibetan Buddha, XIX century. Patinated bronze. It presents marks of use, wear. Measurements: 24 x 15 x 11,5 cm. Round sculpture in bronze. It represents Buddha seated in lotus flower position, with several "lakshana", iconographic symbols that identify the Buddhas and bodhisattvas. The closed eyelids are a symbol of spiritual concentration and also of purity, and complete a serene face with a sketched smile, symbol of the balance of a perfect being. The elongated earlobes allude to the large earrings worn by members of the upper classes, and represent the concepts of greatness, nobility and wisdom.

Tibetan Buddha, 19th century. "Avalokitesvara". Patinated bronze. It presents marks of use and wear. Measurements: 14 x 8 x 2,5 cm. In Buddhist iconography, Avalokitesvara can be represented with multiple arms and with multiplicity of heads as in this bronze statuette, to symbolize his capacity to help many beings simultaneously. Avalokite?vara represents one of the noblest qualities of Mah?y?na Buddhism: universal and unconditional compassion. His image and his message of helping and active listening have inspired generations of Buddhists to cultivate a compassionate attitude towards all living beings, seeking to alleviate suffering in the world and promote peace and harmony.
