Liberal Minister of State in Baden and Freemason (1784-1857). Letter to him from his brother, signed "Karl", dat. Mannheim, August 14, 1828. gr.8°. 2 pp., 2 p. inscr. Folded several times. Apologizing that he had left without saying goodbye as he was taken up by his wife. Further of a request for a purchase which Nebenius' father-in-law had sent him, but which he could not fulfill due to his own expenses. - Karl Friedrich Nebenius was the author of the Baden constitution of 1818, he also reformed the Baden education system (trade schools, polytechnic), initiated the German Customs Union as well as the state-financed construction of the railroad from Mannheim to Basel and the construction of the Mannheim harbor.
