2 vols. (c. 1893). With 263 plates. Olwdbde. Complete copy of the "Album Missionis Terrae Sanctae", a two-volume monumental photographic documentation of the Franciscan mission. Vol. 1 deals with the regions in Judea and Galilee, vol. 2 with Syria, Cyprus and Egypt. With maps, a total of 263 photogravures and explanatory notes to the illustrations on the verso. The first edition was published in 1883, our copy is the greatly expanded and authoritative 2nd edition published around 1893. - Former library copy with stamps and spine signatures. Bindings with light to moderate signs of age and storage. Bridges somewhat darkened and sporadically browned. 1 plate in vol. 2 loosened.
