Mirabeau's commentary on the North American Order of Cincinnatus, founded in 1783, which - despite its first president G. Washington - was classified as anti-republican and became extinct. The appendix contains the first German translation of Richard Price's late work "Bemerkungen über die Wichtgkeit der americanischen Revolution", published in 1784 and expanded in 1785, together with Mirabeau's commentary.
