Blind-printed pigskin boards over wooden covers. USTC 412910, 413062 - Early Antwerp edition of the important collection of exegetical writings by the English theologian Stapleton. The summer part printed in 1592, the winter part printed in 1593 - The summer part with depictions of the crucified and resurrected Christ in the center panels, the winter part with depictions of Iustitia and Fortuna. Clasps only fragmentarily preserved. Very well preserved inside apart from minimal worming. Provenance: Handwritten ownership entry dated July 15, 1617 by M[agister] Michael Keller from Karlstadt.
