Septembr. 1723. vorgangen. 1722 [i.e. 1723]. Composite volume with three rare prints from the early 18th century. It contains I.: The first illustrated edition of the description of Jewish ceremonial customs by Paul Christian Kirchner, a Jew who converted to Christianity, first published in 1717. The richly illustrated work describes a variety of Jewish traditions and rituals: clothing, the Passover, marriage and divorce, death and burial. - II (pre-bound): A collection of dissertations on canon law by Johann Franz Bessel, a Catholic theologian and canon lawyer from Buchheim who taught in Erfurt. - III: A detailed description of the coronation of Emperor Charles VI as King of Bohemia. - Spine restored, the frontispiece of Bessel's dissertations with missing part, p. 77/78 of Kirchner's "Ceremonel" with text passage detached. - Insg. very closely trimmed. Otherwise in good condition. With stamp and spine signature of a dissolved monastery library.
