Exhibition organized to promote drawing as well as washes, pastels and sanguines. 832 works presented by as many artists (including Allongé, Boutry, Gérôme, Myrbach, Pannemaker, Robida, etc. etc.). Numerous full-page reproductions. Brochure fragile, but otherwise good. Also included: - RODDAZ (Camille de). L'Art ancien à l'Exposition Nationale Belge. Bruxelles, Rozez, Paris, Firmin Didot & Cie, 1882. In-4 black half-chagrin, ornate spine, gilt title (period binding). Off-text chromolithograph plates, etchings and engravings and numerous engravings to illustrate this vast panorama of Gothic arts, ancient ceramics, tapestries, stained glass etc... Covers and corners worn, nerves and spines rubbed. - 1867 World's Fair. Large certificate of Honorable Mention awarded to Prodhomme for Impressions Lithographiques, printed, signed by State Councillor and Commissioner General Le Play and Minister de Forcade, with dry seals including one with the effigy of Napoleon III, size 49 x 39 cm. Some minor foxing.
