Some light foxing or spotting, some plans browned, marginal tear restored on some plans. Detailed list of plans on request. Green half morocco with corners, smooth spine, gilt titles (modern binding). Covers, spines and corners rubbed. Old marginal foxing to text volume, heavily marked on first few pages. A complete copy of this important atlas devoted to the history of Paris and its transformations over the centuries. Published under the direction of Baron Haussmann, only 400 copies were printed. Born of the idea that this atlas should feature at the 1878 Universal Exhibition, the project was supported by Hochereau (curator of the Paris plan), Fauvre (chief surveyor), Cousin (city librarian), Tisserand (principal inspector of the historical service) and Viollet-Le-Duc.
