Rare yellow gold (750) and silver (925) neckwatch in the shape of a beetle, finely chased and partly enameled. The reverse features naturalistic decoration of the insect's belly and folded legs. The wings and head are enameled orange-brown and black, and punctuated with rose-cut diamonds. The two wings form a dial cover, opening with a push-button to reveal the chased case enamelled with black fillets. White enamel dial with black Roman numeral hour markers. Mechanical movement with key winding. Yellow gold (750) dust cover numbered 8521. Probably Swiss, circa 1890. Chimère hallmark on dust cover. Gross weight: 25.5 g. - Length: 4.7 cm. - Width : 1.9 cm.
