Description

1 bottle Petrus 1976. Grand Vin, Pomerol, Bordeaux, France. Red wine. 75 cl. See images to check the condition of the label and bottle. Petrus is a red wine from the Pomerol wine region, Bordeaux, made from a selection of merlot and cabernet franc. Considered by great critics and winemakers the best wine in the world. The 11.4 hectares of Petrus vineyards are located on a plateau in the eastern part of Pomerol, and produce 95% merlot and 5% cabernet franc. The estate was the first in Bordeaux to green harvest to reduce yields and increase the quality of the remaining grapes, in some years even eliminating 50% of the crop. The grapes are harvested entirely by hand over a period of two to three days and fermented in cement vats at controlled temperatures. The young wine is aged in new French oak barrels for twenty months. A severe selection is carried out prior to blending in vats, and some lots are rejected for the Grand Vin. **The images in each lot are the actual images of the object and are therefore part of the cataloging.
