ALPHONSE XIII OF SPAIN ALPHONSE XIII OF SPAIN - Set of 7 menus relating to the visit of Alphonse XIII, King of Spain to France in May-June 1905. - Menu for the dinner offered to the King of Spain on May 30, 1905 at the Palais de l'Élysée, 4 pp. in-4 in cover illustrated with a color composition by Eugène Morand, with the Spanish royal coat of arms at the top and a gold reproduction of the "France" medal by engraver Louis Bollée in the center, menu engraved by Devambez bound with a tricolor ribbon. Menu cited by A. ESCOFFIER in his Livre des menus as a model for a grand presidential reception. - Menu for the dinner offered by the city of Paris to the city of Madrid, May 31, 1905, 1 f. under a BEAUTIFUL allegorical COUV. by GORGUET in a nocturnal setting with arms of the two cities, menu engraved by Stern. - Menu for the meal offered on the occasion of the King of Spain's visit to the Ecole spéciale militaire de Saint-Cyr on June 2, 1905, 4 pp. in-8, illustrated by P.
