Émile LOUBET in Russia LOUBET IN RUSSIA - Set of 3 menus relating to the visit of the President of the Republic, Émile LOUBET, to Russia in May 1902. - Menu for the luncheon offered by the French President to the Emperor and Empress of Russia on the cruiser Montcalm, May 10/23, 1902, 8 pp. in-4 under illustrated cover by Giraldon printed in extinguished gray-green featuring a semiset of RF monograms framed by rooster-head ornament with, in cartouches, Émile Loubet's monogram and the date in gold and in relief, at bottom an AQUARELLE BY J. P. LAURENS depicting two allegories uniting the coats of arms of the two countries, followed by the menu text engraved on copper and printed in intaglio by Stern. The presence of Giraldon's cover suggests that this is one of the menus for the table d'honneur. Significant cut at the fold, with the two covers almost detached. - Manuscript menu for the May 9, 1902 dinner, 1 f. with the Russian imperial coat of arms embellished in gold and silver. - Menu for the banquet given by the Conseil Général du Nord in honor of President Loubet on his return from Russia on May 27, 1902 in Dunkirk, 1 illustrated page, engraved by Ch.
