Royal Princesses Elizabeth (1926-2022) and Margaret (1930-2002) - Brown leather photographic frame with gold edging, containing a gelatin-silver portrait of the two princesses by Marcus Adams (cabinet format), during a session with him on December 15, 1936. Bears the autograph signatures of the princesses and the photographer. The easel foot of the frame is slightly detached, some wear to the edges. - H. 23 x W. 18 cm. - History - On December 11, the Duke of York was proclaimed sovereign, under the name of King George VI. Realizing that there would be a demand for photographs of the new royal family, not only in his own country but worldwide, a session was booked with Adams for four days just after his enthronement.
