Albrecht Dürer, The capturing of Christ / Description: The capturing of Christ. Christ captured by soldiers. At the same moment Saint Peter will cut off the ear of the soldier. Large woodcut from the large passion made by Albrecht Durer (1471-1528) ca 1510. An early impression (Meder 116, B from G), with the watermark mentioned by Meder for this state ( Gothic P with coat of arms and letter A = Meder watermark 325). / Dimensions: 40,1 cm x 28,6 cm / Condition: A very good evenly printed impression in almost excellent condition. One skillfully restored tear at the right below corner, not visible in front.
