Bound in full calf on bevelled wooden boards, decorated with cold decoration on the boards, spine ribbed, traces of clasps. Binding damage (headpieces and corners, a few gaps on the boards), otherwise a good copy. Enclosed: XXX (MARGUERIN de LA BIGNE) Bibliothecae veterum patrum sev scriptorum ecclesiasticorum. Parisiis, no publisher's name, 1624, 3 volumes in 3 strong vols in folio/; title vignettes (nave of Paris). Serial head of this monumental sum. Bound in full blond calf with a double gilt fillet framing the boards, spine with ornate nerves. Copy stamped with ecclesiastical arms on the boards (unidentified). Some rubbing; good copy.
