Wolffheim I, 67 - Very rare, extensive series of engraved music for masses, hymns, lamentations, litanies, madrigals, motrettes, 35 magnificats and offertories, complete with vol. 3 in copy, which was to be concluded with the 32nd vol. With this 32nd volume, the undersigned concludes the publication of Palestrina's previously accessible musical works, which have been collected partly from the printed editions of the 16th and 17th centuries and partly from the manuscripts of the most important archives, especially those in Rome." (Preface vol. 32). A 33rd volume followed 14 years later (1907). In the present edition without the frontispiece with the image of Ioannes Petraloysius Praenestinus (etching by F. Böttcher). This definitive last volume contains the alphabetical index of the complete edition with the incipits. - Some with library stamps, slightly browned due to paper (a few volumes somewhat heavier), some foxing, a few leaves with dampstaining, generally well preserved. Works in 33 vols. (vol. 3 in copy). Later blue cloth with ms. title to spine (occ. minor staining). - Very rare, extensive series of engraved music to masses, hymns, lamentations, litanies, madrigals, motrettes, 35 magnificatas and offertories, complete with copy of vol. 3, which was to be completed with the 32nd volume: "With the present 32nd volume, the undersigned concludes the publication of Palestrina's hitherto accessible musical works, which have been collected partly from the printed editions of the 16th and 17th centuries, partly from the manuscripts of the most important, especially Roman archives".
