On March 6, 1946, the French and Vietnamese, faced with China, signed an agreement recognizing Vietnam as a "free state" within the French Union. Following unsuccessful negotiations between the two states, Ho Chi Minh travelled to Fontainebleau in France on May 31, 1946 to conclude new negotiations. Size: 16x11 cm (at sight).
