1946. Portrait of President Hô Chi Minh (1890-1969). Red stamp on the back "Democratic Republic of Viet-Nam - Delegation in France". Rare framed black & white photograph taken on the occasion of Ho Chi Minh's official visit to France to conclude negotiations on the status of Indochina. On March 6, 1946, the French and Vietnamese, faced with China, signed an agreement recognizing Vietnam as a "free state" within the French Union. Following unsuccessful negotiations between the two states, Ho Chi Minh travelled to Fontainebleau in France on May 31, 1946 to conclude new negotiations. Size: 16x11 cm (at sight). (Good condition).
