1900-1950. Reunion of two albums containing photos and postcards from Indochina, one containing views of Hanoi and a few amateur photographs, the second titled "Souvenirs du Tonkin" containing various shots including pirates, views of Hanoi, Annamite portraits, scaled torture scene, photographs of northern ethnic groups and miscellaneous. (Wear, yellowed varnish on the second album). Provenance: Collection of Monsieur Lucien Paye according to family tradition, French ambassador to China between 1964-1969.
