Description

Christine TANNOUS, Untitled 2, Acrylic on burnt wood, 50 x 60cm. Here's how this painter introduces herself: "In addition to the classic apprenticeship (Académie des Arts d'Ajaccio), I learned from Jacqueline Armani and Antoine Faggianelli what's essential: retranscribing an emotion using a technique and color palette that match my personality. My approach is to start with an idea, a figurative element, to tell you a story, to draw you into my world to share a feeling, a sentiment, without imposing anything. My artistic influences are Auguste Herbin, Robert Delaunay and César Domela, but the one who made this technique my obvious choice was Kandinsky. I've made his thought my motto: "Nothing is more concrete, more real than a line, a color, a surface. Abstraction is a universal language.
