In-8, large brown morocco, incised leather inset in the first cover, interior framing decorated with a set of gilded fillets, green faille lining and endpapers, gilded edges on witnesses, cover and spine, slipcase (Noulhac). Composed and illustrated by Auguste Lepère and printed on his presses. 46 woodcuts in monochrome, text ruled in red in the manner of medieval books. Edition of 137 copies on laid paper. Noulhac binding decorated with an incised and colored leather by Gustave Guétant, dated 1906: this depicts an amazon in red costume brandishing a marotte.
