Rectangular wooden case with wood and brass marquetry decoration, hinged on a mirror, containing a sewing set with its utensils in 750 thousandths gold and steel with enameled or partially enameled black and white floral motifs and including a cut crystal bottle mounted in gold, a thimble, a pair of scissors, a case, a thread-pass, a needle-holder and a point. (Small enamel chips) AH hallmark, probably Helle (silversmith specializing in sewing kits), Paris, 1819-1838. Gross weight of gold: 20 g overall. Size of box: L. 12.5 x W. 7.5 x H. 2 cm (slight cracks)
