Description
Rare cassone with pastiglia decoration on poplar core, with arched front divided into two panels. Ornamentation of arabesques with symmetrical foliage and eagles with outstretched wings perched on bowls; each panel is centered with a garland surrounding an armorial cartouche of azure with a golden fess accompanied in chief by a fleur-de-lys of the same and in base by a star of the same; framing with friezes of upright fleurons, flowering stems and rosettes at the corners; molded plinth adorned with interlacing.
