Petersen Flensburg", with gilt and blind-stamped fillets, gilt-stamped title, two clasps, gilt top edge and marble paper endpapers (scuffed, rubbed and bumped, somewhat discolored in places, the capitals with small losses in the cover). Henning II, 1, 592. coll. Dorn 453 - One of 200 copies of edition A (GA 600). - With inserted original letter of apology signed by Paul Bender and Johann Holtz. Due to a delay in the delivery of paper, the publication of the collector's edition was postponed by 5 months. The letter explained the reasons for this and asked for patience on the part of the purchasers, as well as stating the number that the purchaser would receive once the volumes had been completed. - Signed and numbered by Johann Holtz in the printer's note. - On handmade JW Zanders parchment paper. - Inner hinges cracked (but binding firm). Overall a very clean and well-preserved copy. Facsimile of the manuscript. Multicolored calligraphy, with many title and decorative initials (some with tendrils), some richly decorated and some with gold heightening, and some illustrations. Brown calf binding signed "W. A. Petersen Flensburg", with gilt and blind embossed fillets, gilt title on cover, two clasps, gilt head edge and marbled paper endpapers (scuffed, rubbed and bumped, partly somewhat discolored, capitals with small defects). - One of 200 copies of the A edition (total edition 600). - With inserted original letter of apology signed by Paul Bender and Johann Holtz.
