Modern Literature and Art Photography Höke, Bernard Collection of 38 black-and-white and 2 color photographs as well as 17 contact prints, some of them by well-known photographers, documenting the work of the performance artist in the 1960s and 1970s. Dimensions from approx. 6 x 6 to 27 x 13.5 cm. Interesting document of the Berlin and Frankfurt performance scene of the 1960s and 70s. The photographs show happenings, performances and actions, including 4 pictures from the performance Ereignisse aus Schaustücken - with objects made of plastic using fire, air, water and earth, with which Höke made his debut at the Berlin Academy of Arts in 1967. In 1969, Höke caused quite a stir at the Cologne art market with his "Kunstwegwerfmaschine" and he took part in the exhibition "35 Künstler in Frankfurt" with 9, albeit invisible, works.
