During a trip to England in 1668, where he bought a telescope, Joachim Dalencé became friends with Henry Oldenburg, and in 1675 he is said to have acted as an intermediary between Oldenburg and Huygens. He was also in contact with Leibniz and served as a liaison between the French Academy and Huygens.
