About 15 pp. Jean Maurice Alexandre de Saint-Malon died around 1800 in Saint-Marc and was the owner of five houses in the northern part of Saint-Domingue, near Cap-Français. As the family had emigrated, the properties were seized after his death. The documents described here relate to the inventory of the properties, the lifting of the confiscation proceedings and the claim for compensation of the former settlers of Santo Domingo during the Restoration. - Contains: Joulin. Signed letter to M. Dupredy, forwarded to Mme Saint-Malon in Malestroit. Nantes, June 20, 1802, transmitting an extract from a letter dated May 6, 1802, received from Cape Town, which contains the requested information about the dwellings.
