Vase; China, 1960- 1975. Porcelain. Presents apocryphal mark "Qianlong". Measurements: 40 x 25 cm. Jian jun guan" vase with round base and body that widens at the shoulders and ends in a small neck that leads to the mouth where the lid rests. The piece is decorated with vegetal elements on a pink background and small cartouches with reserved areas. In the center is represented a scene from the poem "History of the West Wing", which is one of the most famous Chinese dramatic works. It was written by the Yuan dynasty playwright Wang Shifu and set during the Tang dynasty. Known as "China's most popular love comedy", it tells the story of a young couple consummating their love without their parents' approval.
