Description

Meddour/The time of ashes. Original drawing illustrating a gallery of characters. Signed and dated 2013. Beautifully executed. Blue pencil and watercolor. TBE+. 25 X 28 cm Fabrice Meddour (1966) is a French cartoonist who graduated from the Institut Audiovisuel d'Orléans. Initially drawn to cartooning, he soon turned to comics and, after a short story about the Devil published in "Les Récits", he embarked on his big project: the "Hispanola" series published by Vents d'Ouest, which comprises four volumes of great narrative and graphic finesse. "L'Anticycle", an unfinished story in the short-lived Golem magazine in 1998, enabled him to propose an SF series to Editions Soleil: "Le Temps des Cendres". Three albums later, in 2001, he began work on "Enwin", showing that Fabrice Meddour is just as comfortable in fantasy as in other genres. Putting his latest series - "Gilles de Carpe" (Soleil) - on hold, the talented author returns to Vents d'Ouest with a new series that lacks neither punch nor elegance! His last album, "San Francisco 1906", was released in 2024.
