AN IVORY CARVED NETSUKE OF CHOKWARO SENNIN Japan, 18th century Ivory. H. 4.3 cm. The netsuke is carved as the immortal seated holding in his left hand the gourd, from which the horse issues. With traces of use, partially cracked and abraded. Calabash holding, from which the horse issues. Part. ber., with traces of use and cracks.
