[C. 1880-1900] In-4°: 32 portraits printed on albumen paper, b/w and sepia, ± 10 x 6 cm except the 1st, in medallion Ø 10 cm, mounted on cardboard support with marks of div. photographers, inserted under windows in 9 ff. of strong cardboard with almond green canvas. Contemporary burgundy chagrin, boards framed with a double border of gilded fillets, spandrels in the second frame, central fleuron on the upper board, gilded spine decorated with flowers, large gilded metal clasp decorated with a Saint-Michel emblem of the city of Brussels, purple moiré tabis linings framed with a gilded roll, same tabis endpapers, gilded inscription on the upper guard, gilded edges. In a wooden case covered with gray leatherette, 2 brass clasps, inside lined with white silk (wear, slightly yawning background). Elegant album of portraits of men, women, couples and children, some id. in pencil beneath the photo: Hambrouckx, Janssens, Nillouton, Joseph Theisen, etc. Qqs names of photographers: Ghémar frères, V.
