Théodore Doriot active in France in the last quarter of the 19th century "Marianne" Patinated bronze sculpture with illegible cast seal. Based on a model created around 1880. Marianne wears most of the symbols of the Republic: the laurel wreath with the motto "Honor and Homeland" (symbol of power), the bare chest (symbol of food and emancipation) , the armor (symbol of invincibility), the balance: (symbol of justice), fasces of the lictor (executive power). The medallions on the necklace represent the prominent institutions of the Republic (from left to right: Agriculture, Commerce, Fine Arts, Education, Justice, Sciences, Navy and Industry).Height: 65cm
