Description

Malik/Pair of original drawings on the theme of "the crisis". Superb quality of execution. Published in the album "Drôle de crise" in 1982. India ink signed. TBE+. A4 format William Tai (1948-2020) alias Malik began his career with "Spirou" in a realistic vein in 1970. After working on "Belles Histoires de l'Oncle Paul", he launched his successful series "Archie Cash", a hot-headed action character with a Charles Bronson look. Also for "Spirou", after a few gags in "Plombier" and "La vie secrète des poubelles", he animated "Cupidon" with Raoul Cauvin from 1988. Malik also produced illustrations for the magazine "Schtroumpf" in 1989 and for "Le Soir" in 1992. Moving with apparent ease from realistic graphics to humorous treatises, Malik's comics are dynamic and original.
