Craenhals/ Original humoristic drawing that hasn't aged a day. Published in the album "Drôle de crise" in 1982. India ink signed. TBE+. A4 format. François Craenhals (1926-2004) first worked in electromechanics before taking drawing lessons. A comic-book enthusiast, he made his debut in 1946, publishing the adventures of "Karan", a Tarzan emule, in the Belgian periodical "Héroïc Albums". In 1950, he joined the "Tintin" newspaper, where he produced short, complete stories, then introduced his first heroes, "Rémy et Ghislaine". In 1953, he launched the career of "Pom et Teddy" at Cirque Tockburger and Editions du Lombard (7 albums). In 1964, he began adapting G. Chaulet's novels, "Les 4 As", for Casterman. From 1966, he devoted himself to the medieval exploits of the young and valiant "Chevalier Ardent", pre-published in the newspaper "Tintin" and published in albums by Casterman. François Craenhals follows in the tradition of high-quality, popular comics.
