ANTIQUE RUSSIAN FABERGE SILVER ST. GEORGE BOX
An antique Russian silver cylindrical box with a hinged cover featuring a tondo enameled with St. George as a Roman gladiator slaying the dragon, dated 1887 below, with raised laurel wreath borders separated by four flowers, the fluted borders with crossed ribbons. Gilt wash inside. Hallmarked with the Faberge manufacturers mark and a female head silhouette facing left in a circular cartouche with the assayer's initials in Cyrillic characters for Ivan Lebedkin and 84 silver proof mark.
