ALPINE 1600 S / 1800 Groupe IV – 1970

A unique Alpine history No racing Alpine A110 has ever had a single driver; all have passed from hand to hand, from pro to amateur. As an exception to the rule, we found this car with a single driver, or rather a single crew, because since 1970 it's only been two brothers who have been driver and co-driver of this car. The love of their lives. The driver having passed away, the co-driver entrusted it to us for sale. As this is a unique story, you can watch the video we made. G.V. first bought a 1300 Alpine, but finding it not very powerful, he asked Dieppe for a more powerful model. The famous driver Jean Vinater delivered it himself to Nîmes. Another time when factory drivers were also delivery drivers! G.V. used it on a daily basis, and when he met other drivers - which was normal when you had an Alpine in 1970 - he started competing, and his brother became his co-driver. And wonder and good fortune Alpine had supplied them with a lightweight body, which they noticed with the lightness of the bodywork, the large fuel tank and the fixings for the Monte Carlo gearbox. Indeed, at that time in 1970, Alpine was quick to deliver what it had in stock. G.V. kept this Alpine A110 until his death, with his co-driver brother; a well-established career in rallying with safe driving, with no exits except for one touch, repaired by the renowned Bruno Saby. Keeping up with the times, they modernized most of the G IVs, adding large fenders and, above all, the 1860 cm3 engine, mignotet with Monte Carlo gearbox and auto blocking for 195 hp. Since 1970, this unique car has remained with the same owner (he first registered it in his partner's name, then changed the registration when he moved house). We were able to test this car, which is a real kart, with a perfectly responsive engine (it had just been serviced by the specialist Christian Muratet, well known in the racing world). It's a pleasure to drive, the sensations are direct, and the driving is much more fun than a Porsche. Attached prize list and results (EWRC website) The chance to acquire one, if not the only competition Alpine with a crystal-clear life, and only 60,000 km on the clock. A unique opportunity, what's more it's ready to know another life in VHC, where it will be received with pleasure as a priority. Eligible for : - Tour Auto - Cento Ore Classic - Tour de Corse - Monte Carlo Rally
