JAPAN, Meiji period (1869-1912) Pair of small gold lacquer vases with long necks on flared feet, with polychrome takamakie decoration and mother-of-pearl and hardstone inlays in the Shibayama style, depicting swallows among wisteria swallows among wisteria on one side, and flower vases vases on the other, in cartouches delimited cartouches delimited by two bands of geometric motifs and brown lacquer, the neck adorned with phoenixes and with two handles. On small tripod bases. (Gaps in the inlay). Height without base: 14.3 cm
