*VAN CLEEF & ARPELS, "Kodak" model, 1960-1970 - Half-set consisting of a dome ring and a pair of earrings decorated with rotating lines set alternately with brilliant-cut diamonds and round faceted sapphires. The ring, in 950 thousandths platinum, is signed "VAN CLEEF ARPELS" and numbered "28560". French work, diamond hallmark. Finger circumference: 55. Width : 1.6cm. Gross weight: 19 g. Pair of earrings, in 750 thousandths white gold and 950 thousandths platinum, signed "VAN CLEEF ARPELS" and numbered "28459". French work, diamond hallmark of the House. Systems for non-pierced ears, rackets in 750 thousandths white gold. Dimensions: 2.3x1.6cm. Gross weight: 22.1g. (Very slight chips). The "Kodak" model was created in 1967 by Van Cleef & Arpels. With its twists and turns, it evokes the world of Couture and Textiles, a major source of inspiration for the House. The Ateliers worked extensively on the textures of gold, to reproduce the materials of certain fabrics (fishnet, tulle, serge, etc.), lace and trimmings.
