HERMES Paris et Atelier Georges LENFANT "Boucle de ceinture", Années 1950-1960 - Ladies' secret wristwatch in 750 thousandths yellow gold, black leather-covered cap case in the form of a belt buckle concealing a rectangular gilt dial with black enameled Roman numerals, unsigned mechanical movement, clipped back, black leather strap and 750 thousandths yellow gold pin buckle. Dial and case signed. Traces of numbers. French work, hallmarked by the Atelier Georges LENFANT. Case dimensions: 30x23mm. Gross weight: 32.2 g. With Hermès grosgrain case. The Atelier Georges Lenfant made numerous jewelry models for the Maison Hermès, including the "Boucle Sellier" models for bracelets and necklaces. The Boucle motif, dear to the Maison Hermès, is found here in a watch production, rare on the market. The "Collection Hermès" and in particular the "Boucle Sellier" models are reproduced in Jacques LENFANT's book Le livre de la chaîne, p. 132 ff (Editions Scriptar SA, 1996).
