Prehistoric Mousterien Jasper hand axes , Middle palelithicum 40.000 - 60.000 BC, 7 cm and smaller, Six rare Mousterian biface hand-axes from Fontmaure, France. Fontmaure is a small but famous prehistoric site because of it's rich deposit of unique Jasper. The Bifaces, meaning "double face" have been dated 40.000-60.000 years and are fashioned by the Neanderthal people. Found in the 70s and 80s by the current owner.
