Clément MERE (1861-1940) Exceptional dining room set, in Rio rosewood veneer, comprising an extended table with a molded oval top resting on wide hexagonal canted legs ending in a doucine base; and a rare suite of twelve curved and rounded full-back chairs, with saber legs at the back and sheath legs at the front. Seat covered with orange velvet. The whole set is embellished with an inlaid decoration of finely carved and incised ivory plates with gold and cabochon highlights.
