Description

Olivier Grenson. Original work in felt pen and gouache, exclusively in aid of the "Une tente une vie" operation, on cardboard. Signed. Wood frame with Plexiglas glass included: 155 x 125 cm Born in Charleroi on May 27, 1962, the son of an engineer and a painter, Olivier Grenson believed at an early age in his vocation for comics. However, he did not neglect his scientific, artistic and cinematographic studies. He published his first short stories in Tintin in 1984. At the same time, he chose to share his passion by teaching at the Ecole de Recherche Graphique in Brussels. His dream was to participate in the creation of a recurring, emblematic comic strip character, rather like Lucky Luke. The 7 episodes of the Carland Cross series, produced with Michel Oleffe, revealed his talent. But Jean Dufaux gave him the opportunity to create his own hero. In just a few years, Niklos Koda became one of the pillars of Le Lombard's Third Wave collection. His career turnaround was confirmed. He completed his first diptych, La femme accident, in direct color, based on a script by Denis Lapière, for the prestigious Aire libre collection. In November 2010, he designed the poster for the 20th Festival de la Ville de Plan-de-Cuques. On April 1, 2013, he published Carnet d'auteur II with Snorgleux Éditions. In February 2019, he creates an unpublished comic-book leaflet for the mook Tintin, c'est l'aventure no 2. Based on a script by his wife Sylvie Roge, he draws La Fée assassine, published in February 2021. The confinement following Covid-19 enabled him to complete the graphic novel Le Nageur solitaire, published in November 2021. The ORIG-AMI is a cardboard shelter measuring 117 x 235 x 150 cm. It is insulating, structurally protective, foldable like an accordion, transportable like a backpack and recyclable. The homeless shelter was designed on the principle of origami, a Japanese paper-folding technique.
