Description

Stéphane Dizier. Original felt-tip artwork, exclusively in aid of the "Une tente une vie" operation, on cardboard. Signed. Wood frame with Plexiglas glass included: 155 x 125 cm Born in Liège on September 09 1964, Stéphane Dizier has been drawing since early childhood. His school notebooks are still full of memories: he drew more than he did his homework. After several projects, including 1988's "Le Batrascaphe ne répond plus" and the adventures of Anatole Ondulé, he published his first illustrations, an adaptation of local legends, with Auracan in 1994. With Michel Weykmans on the script, he then created "Blackhat", American adventures set against the backdrop of the 19th-century gold rush. Returning to humor for Dargaud, still with Weykmans, he created "Ogive", a traveling French-fry merchant and his "Barakafrites". Due to restructuring, this series never saw the light of day with the French publisher. One man's ideas and the other man's techniques evolved, and after having produced a number of posters and illustrations on the theme of "Esprits de la Forêt", Séphane Dizier asked Weykmans to concoct a story based on this same universe. The result was "Sorçière Lizina", published by Vents d'Ouest. Today, he is working on adapting "Malvira" into a comic book. Stéphane Dizier has also recently taken up clay modeling. The ORIG-AMI is a cardboard shelter measuring 117 x 235 x 150 cm. It is insulating, structurally protective, foldable like an accordion, transportable like a backpack and recyclable. The homeless shelter was designed on the principle of origami, a Japanese paper-folding technique.
