Jerry Lee Lewis (Ferriday, Louisiana; September 29, 1935) is an American pianist and singer, pioneer of Rock and Roll, nicknamed "The Killer" for his strong personality and stage presence, and after being considered a serious alternative to Elvis Presley, the King of Rock, his popularity declined during the 1960s and 1970s due to various scandals. Glen Travis Campbell (Billstown, Arkansas; April 22, 1936-Nashville, Tennessee; August 8, 2017) was an American singer, songwriter, television host and actor. He was best known for a string of hits in the 1960s and 1970s. He wrote the theme song for the film True Grit, which won John Wayne an Oscar; the song was also nominated for an Academy Award. His hit song, By the Time I Get to Phoenix, would place him among the classics of American pop music. He was a multiple Grammy Award winner, the only person to have won the Grammy Award in two different categories (country and pop) simultaneously. He was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2005.
