Regency-style chest of drawers in contrasting rosewood veneer with rectangular reserves, opens to a curved front with three rows of inset drawers, the first of which is divided into two unequal rows. Stamped four times on the base of the legs "MONDON et JME". Rancid red marble top. François Mondon (1694-1770) had a workshop in the Faubourg Saint Antoine under the name "La Pie", working with Pierre Migeon. Early 18th century. Provenance: Yvonne Gouverné, pianist and choirmaster of the "ORTF", a portrait of her is kept at the Musée d'Orsay. H. 83 cm - W. 131 cm - D. 64.5 cm Accents, restorations.
