18th century PIEMONTAISE school Portrait of Marie-Adélaïde de Savoie. Marie-Adélaïde de Savoie, born December 6, 1685 in Turin, capital of the Duchy of Savoy, and died February 12, 1712 in Versailles, was a princess of the House of Savoy and, by marriage, Duchess of Burgundy, then Dauphine of France. She was the mother of Louis, Duc d'Anjou, who became King of France under the name of Louis XV. Oval canvas Significant old restorations. Wooden frame and gilded stucco. 72 x 58 cm
