Hans Staudacher is probably the most important representative of Informel in Austria, who absorbed and internalized this style in Paris in the years 1954 to 1962. The medium of watercolor is particularly suitable for his gestural and lyrical approach to abstraction. It also stands out in this work - it captures the viewer's eye like a painted poem, this spontaneity only possible in this medium. This is a rare work from his best period.
