One of the most avid collectors of Alex Amann's works was the famous collector Rudolf Leopold, who acquired over 70 works by Alex Amann and supported the artist in every way. The present collection also comes from the Leopold collection. The representational work shows a strongly ciphered relationship play of a theatrical scene against a dark red background. Two couples meet, with one man and one woman each faceless, while the other man is horned and the woman cries out in a flight motion underscored by attacking dogs.
