SERGE MOUILLE (1922-1988) FOR AN INTERIOR DECORATED BY LOUIS SOGNOT (1882-1970) IN PARIS VII Cocotte, the model designed around [1957], our original white lacquered proof, the only one (or one of the only ones) made at the time and known to this day. Very rare version of a lamp with adjustable light that can be used as a wall light (by hanging). The V-shaped base is made of solid metal and lacquered in the original white. The original white-lacquered tubular metal shaft is finished with a brass ring at the end and receives an original Olive small model ball joint and brass washer at the top. The original white-lacquered aluminum ogival bulb cover (outside and inside); complete with its inside tongue designed to receive the lampholder. Antique edition from the late 1950s. Condition as used, with major chips, dents and scratches to the white lacquer, stains and oxidation to the iron parts (base and shaft) and to the ball joint. Part of a decoration designed by Louis Sognot in the late 1950s for their apartment in the 7th arrondissement of Paris. - Mme X., Paris. Great-granddaughter of the above. Owned by descendants.
